***Eric Clapton對吉他的貢獻就在於他的合弦極盡靈活而穩健. 至於"吉他之神"?
在國外似乎沒這麼稱呼Clapton先生, 否則像"Diety of Guitar"、"Guitar God"...等等
的稱號早就在英美的媒體出現了. 我想這是台灣代理公司為了行銷給他冠上的
名號, 時間大約在1992年當他出版"Unplugged"這張專輯的前後吧!
於私於公Unplugged至少有兩個意義. 於私方面--91年他的四歲兒子從高樓窗戶
跌落當場殞命, Clapton幾近崩潰, 為了悼念愛子寫下"Tears in Heaven"就發表於
Unplugged, 曲中道盡思念惆悵令人動容. 於公方面-- 他可能不是第一個在MTV
頻道作"不插電演唱"的歌手, 但應該是第一個把"Unplugged"這種型式灌錄成CD
發行, 並且帶動英美歌壇的風潮. 毫無疑問這是一張經典!
